Instructions

VagiVital AktivGel

A (1) ml dose of VagiVital AktivGel should be applied daily for 30 days, then as needed.

1. Wash your hands with soap and water.

2. Open the tube.

3. Press/screw the included applicator onto the tube until it clicks and reaches the bottom.

4. Press the tube until the applicator is completely filled with gel (1 ml). Keep a light pressure on the tube with your thumb to prevent the applicator plunger from moving back.

5. Remove the applicator from the tube and put the cap back on.

6. Moisten the outside of the applicator with clean water for easier insertion. Insert the applicator tip into the intimate area (4–5 cm) and slowly press the plunger until it reaches the bottom and its original position. Remove the applicator.

7. Wash your hands again and clean your applicator immediately. Pull out the plunger from the applicator and wash both parts separately. Use hot water until all gel is gone. Let the parts dry completely before reassembling the applicator.

Can I use AktivGel every day?

What is the secret behind AktivGel?

The secret of AktivGel is not in the ingredients – it mostly consists of water – but in its unique formula. AktivGel has a very low osmolality, which means it adds moisture instead of drawing it out. Many products with high osmolality actually make the skin drier the more you use them. With AktivGel, it's the opposite: it effectively moisturizes and helps restore the natural balance of the mucous membranes without drying them out.

Can I use AktivGel together with other treatments, such as estrogen?

Yes! AktivGel works excellently together with hormone therapy. In our studies, we see that AktivGel provides an equivalent or even better effect against vaginal dryness, but there may be other reasons to choose hormone therapy – and sometimes that alone is not enough to fully treat the dryness. That is why many women choose to combine hormone therapy with AktivGel.

Do I have to use AktivGel at a specific time of day?

No, you can use AktivGel anytime – morning or evening, or whenever suits you best. Thanks to the gel's high viscosity, it stays where it is applied and releases moisture slowly over time. It works almost like a soft “glue” that adheres to the mucous membrane, so you don't need panty liners and can feel confident that the gel stays where it should.

Can I use V Cleanser every day?

Yes, it is gentle and designed for daily use – unlike regular soap that can dry out and disrupt the balance. V Cleanser is so mild that you don’t even need to rinse off all of it after use – a little product left on the skin can provide extra hydration.

Does V Cleanser contain soap or perfume?

No, V Cleanser is completely free from soap, perfume, and parabens - perfect for all women!

Does regular soap also work as intimate wash?

No, regular soap often has a pH value of around 7, while the genital area has a natural pH of 4.5–5.5. Soap can therefore break down the skin's protective barrier and make you more sensitive to bacteria and viruses. V Cleanser, with its unique moisturizing properties, instead helps to balance the natural pH of the genital area and moisturizes your sensitive genital skin without disturbing the vaginal microflora.

Should you wash the genital area?

It depends on what you mean. The vagina – the internal parts – is self-cleaning and does not need washing. However, the vulva, the external parts, can be washed with lukewarm water. Many women find that water alone is not enough and want to use an intimate wash. In that case, it is important to choose a product that does not contain soap or perfume and is gentle on the sensitive pH balance and bacterial flora of the intimate area.
