VagiVital AktivGel against dry mucous membranes is a moisturizing, hormone-free gel that rehydrates dry mucous membranes in the intimate area such as dryness, irritation or itching in the intimate area, discomfort during intimate contact, or pain during urination. The crystal-clear gel releases water to the mucous membrane over time, restores pH, and stimulates the growth of cells in the surface layer of the mucous membrane. The good results can be partly attributed to the gel's physical properties, as the right consistency is crucial for good effect. Suitable for women of all ages.

In the clinical studies we have conducted with VagiVital AktivGel, we see very good results after 30 days (4 weeks). The results improve further at the follow-up after 12 weeks. Therefore, we normally recommend daily use for 12 weeks (3 tubes) and then switch to use as needed, which is usually every other or every third day.

How do I use AktivGel?

And (1) ml of VagiVital AktivGel is applied in the vagina using an applicator initially for three (3) months and thereafter as needed, which usually means every other or every third day. If you prefer, you can also apply the gel with your finger instead of the applicator.

1. Wash your hands with soap and water.

2. Open the tube.

3. Press/screw the included applicator onto the tube until it clicks and reaches the bottom.

4. Press the tube until the applicator is completely filled with gel (1 ml). Keep a light pressure on the tube with your thumb to prevent the applicator plunger from moving back.

5. Remove the applicator from the tube and put the cap back on.

6. Moisten the outside of the applicator with clean water for easier insertion. Insert the applicator tip into the intimate area (4–5 cm) and slowly press the plunger until it reaches the bottom and its original position. Remove the applicator.

7. Wash your hands again and clean your applicator immediately. Pull out the plunger from the applicator and wash both parts separately. Use hot water until all gel is gone. Let the parts dry completely before reassembling the applicator.

What does AktivGel contain?

Water, hypromellose, benzoic acid, lactic acid, and sodium hydroxide. pH 3.8. The gel is free from hormones.

Vagvital AktivGel has undergone clinical tests in a study conducted by female researchers at Karolinska University Hospital, Akademiska Hospital in Uppsala, and Norrlands University Hospital. The clinical study showed several positive effects where as many as 79% of the patients experienced an improvement in their most troublesome symptoms. This has led to VagiVital AktivGel being classified as an active gel, as the gel's clinically proven effects do more than just moisturize.

The following improvements were documented:

- Reduced symptoms of dry mucous membranes (itching, irritation, pain during intimate contact, and pain during urination).

- Reduced symptoms related to urge incontinence.

How to use

Step 1

Fill the applicator

Draw up a dose (1 ml) of gel into the applicator to get the correct amount for each treatment. Feel free to moisten the outside of the applicator if you want it to be inserted more easily.

Step 2

Apply the gel

Gently insert the applicator into the vagina, about 4–5 cm, and squeeze out the gel. Discard or clean the applicator after use and feel the difference in just a few weeks!

Step 3

Use daily for at least 3 months

For best results, the gel should be used daily for at least 3 months. After that, you can reduce to 2-3 times a week, or as needed to maintain the effect.
